Lanza drove his mother’s car to the public school. Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown is the kindergarten that teaches up to fourth grade.

The suspect entered through a window beside the school’s locked security door at around 9:30 am.

Sandy Hook psychologist Mary Sherlach and school principal Dawn Hochsprung immediately confronted him.

Sadly, both were his first victims, as Lanza shot and killed two women.

The school’s public address system broadcasted the gunfire sounds to individual classrooms.

The teachers immediately followed the previously established lockdown protocols and attempted to safeguard their students.

They conceal their students inside bathroom closets and barricaded doors with furniture. Also, the teachers hid them with their own bodies.

Unfortunately, Lanza entered one of the classrooms. Teacher Lauren Rousseau was there with several other students. He killed her and 14 other kids.

Eventually, he made his way to a second classroom. Teacher Victoria Soto had already hidden her first-grade students in a closet.

Soto attempted to misguide the shooter by telling him that her class was on the other side of the building. But he killed Soto and six more students, attempting to flee.

Similarly, many more were injured and later died. In less than five minutes, Lanza fired 154 rounds claiming 26 innocent lives.

Law enforcement personnel responded within minutes as the school made its first emergency call around 9:35 am.

The Police officers first to catch a glimpse were horrified about the incident. Later, they found Lanza’s dead body as he had taken his own life with a handgun.

The horrific attack started when Adam Lanza, 20, killed his own mother, Nancy Lanza, in their Newtown home.

The son fatally shot his mother four times with a 22-caliber rifle.

His mother, Nancy Lanza, purchased the AR-15 rifle — the civilian semi-auto version of the military M16 assault rifle.

Also, Adam found several other weapons, including two handguns and a shotgun he used later that day.

Before he left his home, the shooter destroyed his device’s hard drive, thinking it would make it difficult for law enforcement personnel and investigators to gather evidence.
