However, according to a published Voa News article, Costa Tsobanoglou, aka Costa Titch’s death, is seen to be more like a contract killing. 

Titch’s death came a month after the assassination of another popular South African rapper Kiernan Forbes, known by AKA. AKA was killed outside a restaurant in Durban. 

Moreover, Costa’s collapse cause and subsequent death are not officially verified by the concerned authorities.

Also, it is hard to confirm if the artist had any pre-existing health conditions, such as depression.

Reports hint that Titch collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra South Africa festival. The concerned authorities pronounced him dead shortly after.

A few people who were present on the show mentioned that the artist fell during his performance, but he continued singing even after his bodyguard helped him. Sadly, he collapsed again and never woke up after being carried off stage.

Until the concerned authorities release an official statement, the detail surrounding his death remains unclear.

Furthermore, the videos of Titch’s sad ending and collapsing on stage have been circulated across various social media platforms. Also, the platforms have banned sharing or blurred the content due to its graphic nature.

South African rapper and dancer Costa Titch rose to fame for hits, including Activate and Nkalakatha.

The artist was born Costa Tsobanoglou, on 23 October 1995, in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Titch had a mixed ethnicity as his Father is of Greek descent while his mother is of South African race.

The late rapper began his music and dancing career in 2014. He participated in the television show Strictly Come to Dancing South Africa and gained quick fame, which boosted his career. 

Titch entered rap music in 2017 after he released his first single, Happy. He collaborated with rapper Riky Rick in his debut single.

Soon, the artist gained prominence in the South African rap scene because of his unique blend of amapiano music with hip-hop. A few of his hit singles include Phezulu, Nkalakatha, and Thembi.

Also, Titch collaborated with the late rapper AKA as his single Activate featured the late artist. AKA also passed away a month before, shot outside a restaurant. 

His unique dance moves and energetic performances attracted young fans. He received an opportunity to feature collaborations with big artists, including Youngsta CPT, Boity, and Phantom Steeze, in his 2020 debut album, Made in Africa.

Titch also sealed deals with big record labels such as Konvict Kulture and Universal Music Group South Africa. Konvict Kulture label is partly owned by American singer Akon.
