Rick And Morty Controversy has been trending on social media. Justin Roiland Accusation stirs controversy as the animator is accused of domestic assault. 

American animator, voice Actor, writer, producer, and director Mark Justin Roiland, shortly Justin Roiland, co-created Adult Swim’s animated comedy Rick and Morty.

He also voiced the leading characters, Morty Smith and Rick Sanchez, but the network dropped him in 2023.

Roiland began his animation career working for the Cartoon Network shows, including Adventure Time and Fish Hooks. He was a writer and voice Actor for the shows. 

Community creators Dan Harmon and Roiland created Rick and Morty in 2012 and aired in December 2013 on Adult Swim.

The show quickly gained a massive following and became one of TV’s most praised and successful animated series.

Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty officially announced that the network had ended its association with Justin Roiland on Tuesday, 24 January this year, via their Twitter account. But Adult Swim tweeted, “Rick and Morty will continue.”

The animated series is preparing for its 7th season. They mentioned that Roiland is out for season 7. He has been part of the series since season one.

Authorities arrested Roiland with felony domestic battery and false imprisonment charges. He was detained in California in 2020.

Rick and Morty’s animator’s hearing has been scheduled for April 2023.

The felony domestic battery charges were against his then-partner. However, the victim’s name is kept in mystery.

Roiland’s attorney T Edward Welbourn publicly revealed that his client was innocent. He said:

Not only he (referring to his client Roiland) is innocent, but we also expect that this matter to be closed forever. We all will be relieved once the district attorney’s office completes its methodical review of the evidence.

Rick and Morty’s team was planning to fire their co-creator since he was charged; now, it has been officially done. 

Also, many of Roiland’s text messages’ screenshots were leaked online. 

The publicly out text clearly shows that the animator was blackmailing the kid and involved in many other illegal things.

However, text message verification is yet to be confirmed, as making fake messages through some apps is easy.

People also claimed that some of his haters might have edited it following his text went viral on many other social platforms. 

Since the text’s accuracy is not confirmed, many viewers eagerly await the next hearing on April 2023.

Moreover, it is verified that Roiland will not be joining Rick and Morty any time soon.

The public showed outrage and shared negative comments as they were unhappy about having Justin in the show.

Justin Roiland Accused Of Grooming As Domestic Violence – Scandal Explained

According to the filed criminal complaint, Roiland was charged with domestic violence in May 2020 following an altercation with an unknown girl he was dating.

Allegedly, Actor and co-creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, had a connection with an incident in Orange County, California.

In May 2020, the Orange County District Attorney registered a criminal complaint and presented it in court for a pre-trial hearing.

In his first trial hearing, Roiland came clean as he pled not guilty. But his next hearing has been scheduled for April 2023. 

Also, Roiland’s attorneys are confident that the case will be dropped.
