Paisley Riley, a resident of a small Mississippi town, used TikTok to raise awareness about the hazards of claw clips during motor accidents after she sustained a head injury in a mudding mishap.
A video showcasing Riley’s hospitalization after a motor accident, which depicted her lying on a stretcher with a neck brace and blood pouring down her head, has amassed over 25.7 million views on TikTok.
The claw clip she had been wearing during the accident was also displayed in the video, with visible red stains assumed to be blood.
In a text overlay featured in the video, Paisley Riley mentioned that the claw clip she wore during the accident did not break and was casually returned to her.
Following the viral video, Paisley Riley shared additional information about the accident in a follow-up video.
She clarified that a sudden turn made by her friend resulted in her head hitting a metal bar, which led to the hair clip getting stuck in the back of her head.
In the video’s caption, Paisley Riley addressed any instances of stuttering and shaking, which she attributed to her concussion and medication.
She further stated that the medication had not been effective thus far.
In the video, Paisley Riley disclosed that her mother had to assist the doctors in finding the headlamp button to enable them to see where to apply the staples for her injury.
