YouTube star Alysha Burney has sadly passed away at the age of 25, according to her best friend, Jay Lanai.

Alysha, born on March 3, 2000, was a YouTuber and vlogger who became famous after her video Bad Girl Club (2015) went viral. The video has over 512,000 views.

Renowned vlogger Alysha Burney reportedly passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 25. Her best friend, Jay Lanai, took to her official Instagram story to announce the tragic news by stating, 

the most genuine, sweet, beautiful and humble human I’ve ever come across. I’m so happy I was able to embrace you & tell you how much I loved and missed you, seeing you over Christmas break. Life is so unexpected. Rest peacefully, Alysha, you’ll be missed so much.

Unconfirmed reports said that she died from being laced during a trip to Mexico for her birthday, which was on March 3, 2025.

The FBU in the U.S. State Department is investigating the incident. Hazel Alston took to her Facebook handle and paid a tribute to Ashley by stating

Alysha Burney’s Parents Are Mourning The Loss Of Their Daughter

Alysha Burney was born to her mother, Anitra Scott, and her father, Charles Burney. Her father is also a former comedian.

She grew up with her sibling, Charles Burney Jr, who also appeared on her vines.

Anitra Scott was born to her father, Randy Joe Scott, and her mother, Geraldine Scott, in Arkansas, United States.

She grew up with her siblings, Stephene Garrett, Brandy Dillingham, and Denise Scott. Stephen married John Garrett, while Brandy married Michael Dillingham.

Sadly, Anitra’s father, Randy, born on December 8, 1957, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, at the age of 66.

The funeral service and visitation were held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at E.S. Eley & Sons Funeral Chapel, Inc.

  • Alysha Burney’s grandfather, Randy Joe Scott, was a beloved child of the late Jesse and Iola Scott. He grew up in Forest City and attended Forest City High School, graduating with the class of 1977. 
  • Her aunt, Stephene Garrett, owns and founded Still Shots Photography Inc. and is the managing partner of Anytime & Empire Bail Bonds. 
  • Anitra Scott’s cousin, Markisha Sanders, is originally from Forrest City, Arkansas.
