Willie is an American musician. He is famous for the album Shotgun Willie (1973), Read Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), which made him recognized as one of the best artists in country music. Willie Nelson lungs condition; let’s know about it.

Nelson moved to Texas from Arkansas in 1929 to look for a job where his parents lived. 

One of the famous country musicians Willie, attended Abbott High School, where he played football in the halfback position, was a guard on the basketball team and was a shortstop in baseball.

He used to sing and play guitar in The Texans, a band formed by his sister’s husband, Bud Fletcher. 

The band used to play in honky tonks and also used to perform in KHBR in Hillsboro, Texas, which was a Sunday morning spot.

Nelson, before becoming famous, worked as a phone operator in Abbott for a short period. 

After working as a phone operator, he worked as a tree trimmer for the local electricity company and as a pawn shop employee.

In 1950, he left his school and joined the U.S. Air Force, where he served the country for nine months. He was medically discharged from the Air Force following his issue with his back. 

During his childhood, the musician Willie was interested in martial arts and started practicing kung fu after moving to Nashville in 1960.

In 1980, Nelson started to train in Taekwondo and holds a second-degree black belt.

In Vancouver, Washington, he was hired by KVAN and frequently appeared on a television show. 

In 1975, Nelson signed with Columbia Records and released a popular album, Read Headed Stranger, one of the most famous albums.

Willie Nelson Serious Lungs Condition and Illness

Country music icon Willie is known to be a marijuana smoker. But the icon, at the age of 86, announced that he had given up smoking weed.

According to reports, he said, “I have abused my lungs quite a bit in the past, so breathing is a little more difficult these days, and I have to be careful,” in an interview.

Nelson had to cancel several shows due to having breathing issues. He has a history of emphysema, a medical condition that makes breathing hard. 

Willie also suffered from pneumonia several times, and that’s when he decided to quit either tobacco or marijuana.

In 2008, he started smoking marijuana after quitting tobacco with a carbon-free system to avoid the smoke effect.

In 2012, Willie canceled his fundraising appearance in the  Denver area after having an issue breathing due to high altitude and emphysema and was taken to a local hospital.

In 2015, Nelson underwent stem-cell therapy to improve his lung condition after suffering from pneumonia and emphysema.

The rumor of the guitarist’s alleged demised went viral as many people started posting their heartfelt condolences on Facebook, expressing their sadness.

The rumor started around 11 am. ET on Tuesday (January 24, 2023) when a fan posted expressing their heartfelt condolences.

But on Wednesday (January 25), the official rep’s of the guitarist confirmed that the icon is not dead.

However, the health condition of Willie Nelson is unknown as the family wants to keep the health condition of the icon private.

Some rumors suggest that Willie has dementia with a Lewy body. This medical condition is related to brain illness characterized by aberrant deposits of the protein alpha-synuclein.
