Who Is Lorenzen Wright Brother Lou Wright? Tracing the Footsteps of His Siblings And Children. 

Lorenzen Wright was a highly regarded American professional basketball player who enjoyed a successful career spanning 13 seasons in the NBA.

He first gained recognition while attending the University of Memphis on an athletic scholarship.

In 1996, the Los Angeles Clippers chose Wright as the seventh pick in the “NBA(National Basketball Association) draft.”

He showcased his talent and dedication throughout his career as he played for various teams, including the Atlanta Hawks, Memphis Grizzlies, Sacramento Kings, and Cleveland Cavaliers.

Tragically, on July 28, 2010, Lorenzen Wright was found shot to death, leaving his family and fans devastated.

The investigation into his death took a surprising turn when his ex-wife, Sherra Wright-Robinson, was charged with being an accomplice in his murder.

After a year and a half, she pleaded guilty to her involvement, and the court sentenced her to 30 years in prison. 

At 34, Lorenzen Wright left behind a loving family, including his six children, siblings, and parents.

Lorenzen Wright grew up in a close-knit family in Mississippi alongside his three siblings.

His brother, Lou Wright, and sisters, Savia Archie and Adriane, shared a special bond with him.

However, since his untimely passing, his siblings have chosen to avoid the public eye, focusing on their personal lives.

In 2010, during the search for Lorenzen Wright after his disappearance, one of his sisters, Savia Archie, took to Twitter to seek help from the online community.

She posted a heartfelt plea to locate her missing brother. However, since then, her Twitter activity has been limited or non-existent.

Lorenzen Wright’s parents, Deborah Marion and Herb Wright played a vital role in shaping his life.

He was born in Oxford, Mississippi, on November 4, 1975. As a teenager, Lorenzen and his family relocated to Memphis, Tennessee, where he attended Booker T. Washington High School.

Lorenzen’s Father, Herb Wright, had his connection to the basketball world, having been a professional-level basketball athlete who played in Finland. 

After playing, Herb joined the Memphis Police Department, further contributing to his community in a different capacity.

While his siblings have chosen to maintain their privacy since his passing, the love and bond they shared with Lorenzen remain a cherished part of their lives, and his memory lives on through the love & support of his family.

Lorenzen Wright’s family included seven children, four sons and three daughters.

His sons were named Lorenzen Wright Jr., Shamar Wright, Lamar Wright, and Lawson Wright, while his daughters were Sofia Wright and Loren Wright.

Tragically, the family had to endure the loss of Sierra Wright, who passed away at just 11 months old on March 1, 2003.

Lorenzen Wright Jr., the oldest of his children, has followed in his maternal grandfather’s footsteps, working as an L.A. fitness trainer and coach.

Loren Wright, the second child, pursued a nursing career, showcasing the family’s diverse talents.

Lorenzen’s twin sons, Shamar and Lamar Wright, have chosen to carry on their Father’s legacy in basketball.

They are currently being coached at SIU-Edwardsville by Brian Barone. Shamar, a 6’7″ guard, proudly wears 42, while Lamar, a 6’7″ forward, sports 55.

In 1998, according to Buzz South Africa, Lorenzen Wright married Sherra Robinson, whom he had met during high school. 

However, their relationship took a tragic turn when Sherra plotted and executed Lorenzen’s murder.

She was found guilty of first-degree murder. The couple divorced in February 2010, just months before Lorenzen’s death.
