Who Are Glen And Julia Edey? Zach Edey Parents
Zach Edey was born on May 14, 2002, in Toronto, Canada, to his mother, Julia Edey, and father, Glen Edey.
Little to nothing is known about his father, as he has mostly remained outside the spotlight.
His mother was also a basketball player and had her ball dream.
Julia was one of five kids raised in a working-class home in Toronto that runs a family-run Chinese takeout restaurant.
She began assisting her father and grandfather in the restaurant on the weekends when she was 12 years old.
She had some time for basketball if there were no troubles at school. High school coaches spotted Julia’s latent potential when she was a 5-foot-9-inch ninth-grader.
By the time Julia was 17 years old, she was competing against athletes as old as 21 in tryouts in front of Canada’s junior national team coaches.
However, with pressure to handle the family business and harsh reality, Julia gradually let her basketball dream die.
She eventually decided to major in mechanical engineering, which resulted in a prosperous career.

After a year with the lower-level squad, Edey relocated to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and joined the national team.
He was a three-star recruit who chose Purdue over other schools, including Santa Clara and Baylor, in making his collegiate basketball commitment.
