Bradley was remembered as a lovely and devoted young guy who passed away after using an inhalant with colleagues during a sleepover on the far north coast of New South Wales.
There is broad consensus about the circumstances surrounding his death, but his mother, Corinne Mair, fought for an inquiry to “avoid another young life like Bradley’s being lost.”

Where Is Corinne Mair Now?
Corinne Mair currently resides in NSW. On December 8, 2019, she lost her son Bradley John Hope at a sleepover after making the tragic error of trying “chroming” (inhaling Rexona), according to Yahoo.
Corinne said her son attempted chroming Rexona for the first time; however, he had a fatal heart attack and couldn’t be saved.
Bradley, a young man in good health, passed away after his heart stopped due to the hazardous ingredients in Rexona. Bradley was the sixth Australian kid to die directly due to inhaling Rexona.
Rexona has recognized that its product has been connected to these deaths, but there has been no public education, proper labeling, or branding.
Instead, the Company has chosen to turn this into a social issue rather than a fundamental matter of product toxicity.
On the other hand, Koby, Bradley’s older brother, told A Current Affair that none of his friends with Bradley that night had ever tried chroming.
Despite acknowledging that Corinne’s son “had a part to play” in his death, she claims that Rexona is to blame for his passing. She has also met with representatives of Rexona’s parent Company, Unilever.
She said the parent firm, Unilever, admitted that the product had been connected to six deaths, including Bradley’s.
Bradley Hope Mother Calling For Change
Bradley Hope’s mother, Corinne Mair, is urging more action to educate children about the risks associated with chroming.
The mother of the NSW teen Bradley Hope was adamant that his death would not go in vain after he inhaled an aerosol.
After Bradley’s death, Ms. Mair visited with executives from Rexona’s parent firm Unilever, urging them to do more to educate teens about the dangers of chroming, better warning warnings on its cans and replace the contents in its product, which is popular among teen ‘chrome.’
Corinne Mair said there must be answers or ways to stop this at an inquest into the accidental death of her 16-year-old son. “We as a community can’t afford to lose one more young life this way,” she added.
Additionally, the NSW State Coroner Teresa O’Sullivan issued extensive and urgent recommendations to combat the trend of inhalant use, sometimes known as “volatile substance misuse,” in the first inquest of its type.
In a roundtable discussion, O’Sullivan suggested NSW Health include the Police, education department, paramedics, manufacturers, merchants, and youth and community services.
The roundtable should consider a public health Campaign, parental and child education initiatives, potential inhalant sales regulations, and improved training for law enforcement and paramedics.
Similarly, Ms. O’Sullivan advised manufacturers to keep looking into new, safer products while the Aerosol Association of Australia looked into the effectiveness of warning labels on containers.
