XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy, was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter.

He started playing music in 2013. With the release of his first studio album, “17,” which included the number-one single “Jocelyn Flores,” he achieved mainstream fame.

The lyrics in XXXTentacion’s music were well-known for being emotional and contemplative, frequently addressing issues with mental health, anxiety, and sadness.

He was also renowned for experimenting with various musical styles, such as rock, R&B, and hip-hop.

When Did XXXTentacion Depression Begin?

Although Onfroy’s songwriting on some albums, like The Fall and 17, was more emotional than it had been in the past, frequently referencing feelings of loneliness, depression, isolation, and anxiety.

His songwriting has been described as outrageous and shocking, frequently referring to “violence, sex, and drugs.”

On the other hand, he was renowned for creating “depressing and occasionally devastating” music that raised awareness of the mental illness.

XXXTentacion revealed that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and has previously received therapy in an interview with the Miami New Times in 2017.

He also discussed how he uses music to deal with his mental health issues, saying, “When I’m feeling depressed or anything like that, I just go in the booth and make music. It’s like my version of self-harm, but it’s productive.”

At his death, he had legal concerns and was on trial for domestic abuse allegations. Some detractors claimed that his behavior was a sign of more serious mental health problems.

How Did XXXTentacion Die?

XXXTentacion, a 20-year-old rapper, was shot and killed on June 18, 2018, in Deerfield Beach, Florida, near a motorcycle store.

He was shot and died during a robbery. His Louis Vuitton bag, including $50,000 in cash, was stolen by the assailants, who drove away in an SUV.

When the incident happened, he was looking at motorcycles in Deerfield Beach, Florida.

Two masked guys reportedly approached him as he left the dealership, who then robbed him and shot him many times before fleeing the area.

After being brought to a neighboring hospital, XXXTentacion was promptly declared dead.

Fans worldwide, many of whom had been motivated by his music and his willingness to be open about his battles with mental health, were shocked & saddened to learn of his passing.
