Sierra Hash death

Sierra Hash passed away on Sunday after a tree limb fell on her while she was playing with her siblings.

She was born in 2017 in Fredericksburg, Virginia, to her father, Dylan Hash, and her mother, Lindsey Nicole. Her parents tied the knot on June 2, 2015.

Her mother, Lindsey, owns and is CEO of Sugar High Co., which sells homemade sugar cookies for any occasion. 

On the other hand, Dylan Hash graduated from Stafford Senior High School in 2011 and works at Semper Dry Water Removal as a delivery driver at Brown Distributing in Richmond, VA. 

He was a former plumber at Plumb Magic and CroppMetcalfe and a terminal operator at TransMontaigne. 

Sierra Marie Hash Obituary: She Died Due To A Tree Limb Accident

Fredericksburg, Virginia, resident Sierra Marie Hash died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 8, while playing with her siblings when a large tree limb unexpectedly broke off and fell on her, causing head injuries. 

Her father, Dylan Hash, took to his official Facebook handle to announce the death of her daughter, Sierra. He wrote, 

Just so everyone knows, I don’t wanna go into details but, unfortunately, yesterday I lost a very important piece of my life. Yesterday heaven gained an angel! My sweet little 8 year old baby girl gained her wings! I’ll post services once we figure them out please keep my family in your prayers

Close ones and relatives poured their heartfelt condolences through the comment section. One person wrote,

Sierra’s mother, Lindsey Nicole, also announced the news through her Facebook handle. She wrote, 

For those who don’t know, yesterday we lost our beautiful baby girl to a freak accident. Thank you all for your kind words. Our hearts are so broken without our sweet Harra. Please pray for my family as this was so unexpected and the worst thing to ever happen to us. Mommy loves you so much Sierra Marie. I miss you more than words could explain.

Vicky Cropp Hensley poured a heartfelt condolence to Sierra’s family by stating, 

Prayer warriors , need you more than you know 🙏🏽🙏🏽 Please take a moment and lift , The Hash Family , will your Prayers Please keep Dylan and Lindsey Nicole in your prayers , as they just went through a Tragic Loss !!

Jazmin Hitt organized a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to assist Sierra’s family with funeral service costs and grief counseling and to help the family navigate the many challenges that accompany such a devasting loss.

The campaign aims to collect over $10,000; around 96 people have donated, and $7,950 has been collected. 

Marketing Consultant at Alpha Media USA, Taylor Gehring, shared GoFuneMe’s link on her Facebook handle and requested to donate. She wrote, 

Sierra was so loved and such a loving little girl! What my friends families are dealing with right now is pure heartbreak. Anyone wants to help here is the link. To see my friends hurt in so much pain is killing me.

In addition, King George resident Kaitlyn Kennedy organized a fundraising campaign on Meal Train. The campaign aimed to collect $5,000 but has already raised over $8,320

Kennedy also shared the campaign’s link on her Facebook handle and wrote, 

Hi everyone, I put together a meal train for the Hash family during this hard time. If you would like to help in anyway, below you can sign up for a meal or send them something!4

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Sierra’s family to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.

Additional Information

  • Dylan Hash’s uncle, Steve R. Hash Jr., passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 58, after a year-long battle with lung cancer. Steve was a truck driver for Vulcan Materials for 20 years and was a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the NRA. 
  • Sierra’s great-grandmother, Sharon Hash-Shines, was born in Alexandria, Virginia, and passed away at the age of 73 on December 25, 2019.
