Still, for Ugo, the winner takes it all situation as the young player had already been victorious over high-profile player like Gael Monfils. Talking about his Tennis career, Ugo had an interest in playing tennis since the age of 5. He used to watch his father play and wanted to learn. Eventually, at the age of 12, Ugo left his home and moved to Poitiers to train with the French Tennis Federation at the National Training Centre.

In September 2017, Humbert achieved his first Future titles in Bagneree-de-Bigorre. In November that same year achieved the first victory against a top-100 player by beating Thomas Fabbiano, ranked 73.
