Still, for Ugo, the winner takes it all situation as the young player had already been victorious over high-profile player like Gael Monfils. The young Frenchman showed the determination to win by playing fiercely and won an easy set of 4-5, 5-7, 3-6.

Ugo Humbert was born on June 26, 1998, in Metz, France. He is the son of French parents, father Eric Humbert and mother, Anne. Also, the Frenchman has a sister named Lea. Apart from this, no additional information has been given about his family.

Professional Career

Talking about his Tennis career, Ugo had an interest in playing tennis since the age of 5. He used to watch his father play and wanted to learn. Eventually, at the age of 12, Ugo left his home and moved to Poitiers to train with the French Tennis Federation at the National Training Centre.

In 2015, Ugo reached the Abierto Juvenil Mexicano double’s final with Geoffrey Blancaneaux. The Frenchman went professional in 2016 after he achieved ranking at no. 18.

In September 2017, Humbert achieved his first Future titles in Bagneree-de-Bigorre. In November that same year achieved the first victory against a top-100 player by beating Thomas Fabbiano, ranked 73. Notably, the player achieved this feat during the 2017 Rolex Paris Masters at the first-round qualifying match.
