Lori Vallow Daybell is a lady accused of multiple significant crimes in the murders of her two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua Vallow. She has not pleaded guilty to the charges. Daybell’s trial is still underway, and a timeline of events leading up to the trial.

Tylee Ryan and Joshua “J.J.” Vallow were two toddlers that went missing in September of this year. Lori Vallow, their mother, was arrested in February 2020.
Following a thorough investigation, their corpses were discovered on the property of Vallow’s husband, Chad Daybell, in June 2020. Vallow and Daybell have both been charged with several charges of murder and murder conspiracy.
The Woodcock and Ryan families verified on June 10, 2020 that the human remains discovered on Chad’s land were those of Tylee and J.J. On June 13, Rexburg Police formally verified this discovery.

Colby Ryan, Tylee’s elder brother, is still alive and has been actively involved in the search for justice for his siblings. Ryan stated in a January 2021 interview that he believes his mother was involved in his siblings’ murders and that she should be held accountable.
Lori was ruled incompetent and unfit to stand trial on May 27, 2021, and her case was delayed.
She has since been found competent to stand trial after receiving mental health treatment, incompetent, then competent again. Chad’s request to separate his case from Lori’s was refused.
The trials were scheduled to begin in January 2023 but were canceled in November 2022 without a new date being announced.

Lori Vallow’s husband, Chad G. Daybell, has been charged with murder in the deaths of her two children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua “JJ” Vallow.

Chad started Spring Creek Book Company in 2004 to self-publish his end-of-the-world fiction and other religious publications.
His business partner in this endeavor was a graphic artist and manager known only as Douglas in the media. Chad and Tammy’s five children were Garth, Emma, Seth, Leah, and Mark.
Chad stated that in 2015, he heard a voice urging him to move to Rexburg, Idaho. That June, he and Tammy relocated from Springville, Utah.
Before his incarceration, Daybell was the author of many publications about end-of-the-world and near-death experiences. In 2019, he and Vallow began propagating their ideas in an extremist religious organization that claimed the world was ending and that they had been selected to lead a group of chosen individuals.
Following Tylee and J.J.’s disappearance, authorities began investigating the couple’s participation. Daybell may be heard telling Vallow in a jailhouse phone call, revealing to the public that Police were closing in on the day the children’s corpses were discovered buried on his property.
Daybell is awaiting trial with Vallow, who has pled not guilty to the accusations against her.
