Before Kasey Mcmullen’s accident in Washington, the recent report from the ” (WSDOT) Washington State Department of Transportation” indicates that the Interstate 5 Express Way lanes have been reopened following an unfortunate semi-rollover accident on Friday morning.

The Seattle Fire Department tweeted about the rollover accident near the Mercer Street exit on the southbound I-5 Express Way at approximately 11:10 am. Later in the day, around 3:40 pm, the northbound lanes were reopened.

Tragically, the collision resulted in the loss of life, as confirmed by a tweet from Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson. Emergency crews had initially responded to the scene to extricate the occupant involved.

As per the information from the Washington State Patrol, the semi-truck lost control and collided with a support column for the bridge and barrier while traveling in an unspecified lane.

The exact cause of the driver’s loss of control is currently unknown and under investigation.

Similarly, due to the severity of the crash, the opening of the northbound express lanes was delayed by several hours.

Typically, the express lanes operate southbound from 5 am to 11:15 am on weekdays and then switch northbound from 11:15 am to 11 pm, as outlined by WSDOT. The express lanes remain closed during overnight hours.
