Silvio Berlusconi is a media tycoon and politician who served as Italy’s prime minister three times, from 1994 to 1995, 2001 to 2006, and 2008 to 2011.

He also served in the Italian Chamber of Deputies and the European Parliament.

In addition to being the founder and owner of the media business Mediaset, which owns many television channels, Berlusconi has also owned several Italian football clubs, notably AC Milan.

On the other hand, he is well-known for his dubious business methods, flamboyant attitude, and legal troubles, which include claims of tax fraud, bribery, and corruption.

Silvio Berlusconi Scandal: Accused For Paying 17 Years Old Ruby Rubacuori

Silvio Berlusconi, the former Italian prime minister, was accused of paying for sex with an underage girl named Ruby Rubacuori. 

According to prosecutors, Berlusconi paid for sexual services from Ruby, who was 17 years old at the time, at parties at his villa in Arcore, near Milan, in 2010.

The charges were refuted by Berlusconi, who asserted that he never had intercourse with Ruby and thought she was an adult at the time.

However, in June 2013, a Milan court ruled that Berlusconi had abused his position as prime minister by pressing the Police to free Ruby when she was being held for stealing and having paid for sex with a minor prostitute.

Berlusconi filed an appeal against the ruling in January 2014, asking for total pardon.

Silvio Berlusconi, a politician, was sentenced to seven years in prison, which was later reduced to four years. On June 20, the appeals procedure started.

The Italian appeals court declared the appeal had been successful and that Berlusconi’s convictions would be reversed on July 18, 2014.

Silvio was exonerated from the allegations of extortion because “the fact does not exist” and from the charge of child prostitution because “the fact is not a crime,” according to the court’s published summary of the ruling.

Within 90 days, the more in-depth court justification for the acquittal would be made public, and the prosecutor said he would then probably challenge the ruling to the Court of Cassation.

Berlusconi also received a prohibition on holding public office, which was reversed in 2018.

Many people accused Berlusconi of abusing his power and influence to evade justice, which sparked intense controversy in Italy and drew attention worldwide.

Not to mention, Berlusconi was charged with tax evasion and false accounting about his Company, Mediaset, purchasing film rights.

After then, he was ultimately found guilty and given a four-year prison term; however, the term was eventually reduced.

Additionally, he was charged with abusing his political influence to advance his financial goals, particularly in the media sector.

Silvio Berlusconi Wins Legal Battle In Bunga Bunga Bribe Case

Silvio Berlusconi was accused of paying witnesses to lie in a case involving child prostitution that has followed the former prime minister for more than ten years.

According to Reuters, an Italian court cleared him of those charges on Wednesday.

In a previous trial where he was accused of paying for sex with a 17-year-old Moroccan nightclub dancer, Berlusconi was accused of bribing 24 people, mostly young, female visitors at his so-called Bunga Bunga parties.

The Milan court’s president stated in a written explanation of the decision that there was no case to answer for Berlusconi and his 28 co-defendants due to purported legal mistakes in the prosecution’s case formulation.
