She adds that while many people believe having “many male relationships” is “all about sex,” for her, it is “absolutely not” the case.
She also highlights the “double standard” that women who practice polyandry encounter, such as being called a “slut” for having numerous relationships or being called someone who “sleeps around.”
Mike responds, “It isn’t easy,” when she asks if he is jealous of her relationships with other guys.

On Seeking Brother Husband, Elisa and Mike are discussing their difficult transition to becoming a polyandrous couple.
Elisa tells her husband, “We had fallen in love as soon as we met; it was like we were inseparable.”
She continues, “That’s why I had such trouble, like, when I met that guy line dancing.”
Despite being content with their relationship, Elisa confesses that she cheated on Mike.
“I cheated on Mike while we were dating, not because I was dissatisfied with our relationship, but because I just had this extremely intense connection with someone else,” she reveals.
Elisa says, “We had to go through everything we’ve been through to get to where we are today,” when discussing their choice to be together despite her infidelity.
“Do I want to stick with her so I can pursue other partners? I had to ask myself. Or do I want to end our relationship? “He goes on. I decided to stick with her and continue to develop.
