Reed Blankenship Parents, Sandra and Troy, missed just one game during his five years at Middle Tennessee.

Reed Blankenship plays cornerback for the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. He was born in the Alabama town of Lester.

Blankenship was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles after going undrafted in the 2022 NFL Draft.

American Football safety was one of three undrafted 2022 players to make the Eagles’ final roster, along with Josh Sills and Josh Jobe.

In week five, he made his NFL debut against the Arizona Cardinals, recording two tackles in a 20-17 victory.

Blankenship made such an impression that a chorus of his defensive back teammates chanted his name during his first post-game group interview.

At West Limestone Secondary School, he played ball and football. Later, he transferred to Center Tennessee State College, where he played in the NCAA division for the Center Tennessee Blue Looters.

For five seasons, his Father and mother attended every game their son Reed played in a Marauders jersey and only missed one. They used to travel for 10 to 15 hours to see their child play.

Reed made his NFL debut against the Arizona Cardinals in week 5, recording two tackles in a 20-17 win.

He recorded his first career interception off Aaron Rodgers in the second quarter against the Green Bay Packers on November 27, 2022, at Lincoln Financial Field, after covering for the injured CJ Gardner-Johnson.
