Alamo Heights High School graduate and Ole Miss student Wyatt Thistle died in a drowning accident.
Wyatt Thistle was a former member of the Ole Miss Rebels football team. He was also a standout wide receiver and tight end for the Alamo Heights Varsity Football team in San Antonio, Texas.

Ole Miss Student-Athlete Wyatt Thistle Died In A Drowning Accident
Wyatt Thistle, a student-athlete, passed away in a drowning accident at Lake Cabo in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 20.
However, the exact accident details have not been revealed as the investigation is ongoing.
The funeral service will be made available by his family soon.
An affiliate broker, realtor, and principal of Jacey Cook Homes Team at Compass, Jacey Cook, poured a small tribute and sent prayers to Wyatt’s family through her official Facebook handle. She wrote,

Kate Smith also sent prayers and expressed her heartfelt condolence to Wyatt and his family through her official Twitter handle. She wrote,

Kate Strause Malone and David separated after several years of marriage. Later, Kate married Jimmy Malone on October 24, 2021.
His biological father, David Thistle, lives in Austin, Texas, and works at Hyatt Regency Los Pines Resort and Spa.
On the other hand, Kate studied Hospitality Management at the University of North Texas and served as the event manager at Hilton Hotel Corporation.
She served as the associate director of sales, director of experience, and director of sales at The RK Group.
Jimmy Malone is originally from San Antonio, Texas, but lives in Southaven, Mississippi, and went to Tom C. Clark High School.
He served as the sales director at Omni Hotels and Resorts and as the marketing director at Hilton Hotels and Resorts.
Malone is also the general contractor of JM Home Services, LLC, and the area sales director at Wealth Hospitality Group.
However, Jimmy, David, and Kate are devastated by the tragic loss of Wyatt Thistle.
