According to Giovanni’s Facebook handle, he was initially from Atwater but lived with his family in Los Angeles, California.

A proud member of the United States military, Giovanni Quevedo, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in California, after a long battle with stage 4 melanoma, a kind of skin cancer that starts in the melanocytes.
In 2022, Giovanni noticed a mole, and the cancer later progressed to stage 4, with metastases in his spine, pelvis, liver, and neck.
On November 5, 2024, Giovanni’s cousin Kyra Elisabeth announced through her Facebook handle that his cancer had progressed to stage 4. She wrote,
It has unfortunately progressed to stage 4. He’s been extremely positive during his fight. Now he is starting a new treatment and everyone is hopeful.
Juan Jr. took to his official Instagram story and mourned the tragic loss of Giovanni. He wrote,
May he rest in peace cancer really sucks
Other close ones and relatives have poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Quevedo’s family to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.
He will be remembered forever for his unforgettable contribution to the United States military force. His family will soon reveal his funeral service schedule.

Los Angeles Resident Giovanni Quevedo Is Survived By His Wife Reyna Quevedo
Giovanni Quevedo married Reyna Quevedo in December 2021. On December 31, 2024, Giovanni took to his official Instagram handle to wish his wife a happy third wedding anniversary.
As per Reyna’s LinkedIn profile, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northbridge.
In June 2024, she served as the Case Aide at Bimini Social Media and as an Applied Behavior Analysis Technician at HealthPro Heritage.

Sadly, Reyna and Giovanni’s married life ended after three years following the tragic death of Giovanni Quevedo.
Recently, Reyna took the news to Giovanni’s official Instagram handle. She wrote,
It is with deep sorrow that I am sharing with you all the passing of my beloved husband on March 25, 2025. Through his battle with cancer, he remained strong, humble, and full of love for those around him. He touched so many lives with his kindness, unwavering spirit, and the passion he poured into everything he did. His presence will forever be missed, but his impact will never fade. Thank you for being a part of his journey and for helping us honor his legacy. May he rest in peace and may we see him again 🖤
On September 18, 2024, Giovanni’s Reyna Quevedo organized a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe for Giovanni.
She said donations would be donated to Giovanni’s travel expenses and integrative therapies. The campaign raised over $38,128.
