On Friday, February 3, 2023, Australian Tennis Star Nick Kyrgios avoided a conviction for what the magistrate called a “single act of stupidity,” however, he pleaded guilty to assaulting his former girlfriend, Chiara Passari.
The Wimbledon finalist appeared yesterday for his trial in Canberra Court, where he finally admitted that he assaulted his then-girlfriend Chiara on January 10, 2021.
Nick stated that he pushed her to the ground after a heated argument, but he also added that he was “not in a good place” and regretted it deeply.
According to the Lawyers, His ex-girlfriend had complained to Police on November 2021, almost ten months after the incident, after they had broken up.
Passari said that she had been experiencing severe weight loss, unable to form a new romantic relationship, and deprived of sleep during the day or night after being severely traumatized by the incident.
