Alia was interested in participating in the show and recalled watching the first season of the London-based cookery program when it first aired.

Not to mention, Shawn Phillips, a coworker, encouraged him to apply to be a finalist since he was aware of how much Alia enjoyed preparing meals for the Leominster Fire Department staff, according to Yahoo.

Alia filled it out “for fun” when he discovered they were taking applications for the second season.

Chicken piccata is one of his signature dishes. According to Alia, every chef & cook who has ever worked in the industry received their training from a family member.

Despite never having worked in a restaurant, diner, or greasy spoon, Alia claimed to have fed up to 22 men on Thanksgiving at the firehouse.

Talking about his family, Vincent lost both of his parents unexpectedly a year apart in the run-up to the audition process.

Not to mention, Alia experienced a heart attack in December while working, necessitating surgery.

He is enrolled full-time in online courses at Mount Wachusett Community College even though he cannot work.
