A star footballer of the Saint Xavier University Football program, Mason Santiago, died in a car accident.
Mason Santiago, 19, was born in 2005 in New Lenox, Illinois, United States, where he played Football as a linebacker (LB) at Providence Catholic High School.

Mason Santiago and Tyler Koscinski’s Death Cause Linked To Car Accident
Saint Xavier University linebacker Mason Santiago was pronounced lifeless on Sunday morning, September 15, 2024.
Just before 4:30 A.M, Mason caught into an accident on I-80 westbound in Tinley Park between La Granger and Harlem Avenue.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident involved an SUV and a semi, although the circumstances leading up to the crash.
At first, authorities did not identify the two people deceased in the incident, but social media posts indicated one of the victims was Mason Santiago.
The other victim was Tyler Koscinski, a Licon-Way Varsity Football Quarterback ranked in the top two in Southwest Suburban.
The investigation is ongoing, but authorities have not yet released details on what may have led to the tragic collision.
All westbound lanes along with the Harlem Avenue ramp were closed at the site.
