The former shooting guard player was born on October 12, 1978, in Belgrade, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia. He is the son of a father, Srecko Jaric, and a mother named Leposava Jaric. His father is also a retired Serbian professional basketball player.
Aside from his parents, Jaric has an elder sister named Tamara and a younger brother named Nikola, who is also a basketball player. However, there is not much information when it comes to academics.

Jaric began playing basketball professionally from the year of 1996. He started playing with the Greek Basket League club, Peristeri. With the club, he played two seasons in the European-wide 3rd tier level FIBA Korac Cup.
Likewise, by the time NBA selected him, Jaric had already won Italian League championships twice, making him the first player to achieve such a feat.
Similarly, Jaric was selected in the 2000 NBA draft as the 30th overall draft pick by the Los Angeles Clippers. On August 12, 2005, Jaric, along with Lionel Chalmers, was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
On June 26, 2008, he was traded to the Grizzlies in an eight-player deal involving rookie players like O.J. Mayo, Al Horford and Kevin Love. And they mutually agreed that Jaric would not attend the team’s training camp.
The following year, on December 22, 2009, he signed with the Spanish club Real Madrid only to sign with the Italian Club Montepaschi Siena for the rest of the 2010-11 season.
