Childhood
Manny Pacquiao was born on 17th December 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines as the fourth child of father Rosalio Pcaquiao and mother Dionisisa Dapidran Pacquiao.
Likewise, he has five other siblings. Like him, his younger brother Bobby is also a politician and retired professional boxer.
During his childhood, Pacquiao lived in poverty and wanted to be a priest in the future.

House of Representative
On 12th February 2007, Pacquiao decided to run for a congressional seat in the Philippine House of Representatives.
Although he planned to run for the Liberal party court forced him to represent Kabalikat ng Malayang Philipino. But he lost the election.
Later, on 21st November, he announced he would again run for the seat representing his wife’s hometown, Sarangani province.
In May 2010, during the 15th Congress of the Philippines, he got his seat in the House of Representatives.
He won the election by a landslide of votes against Roy Chiongbain, who represented the Chionhbian clan.
