Mamukkoya, a veteran Actor in Malayalam cinema, passed away on Wednesday, April 26th, at 76. 

Mamukkoya had been admitted to a private hospital in Kozhikode after suffering a heart attack while playing in a football tournament. He was undergoing treatment for a few days when he suffered a brain hemorrhage and passed away. 

Mamukkoya was known for his natural acting, versatile Mappila dialect, and effortless portrayal of humor roles. He acted in over 450 movies and won two state awards and several honors, including the Jaihind TV Award for Best Comedy Artist in Malayalam. His wife and four children survive him.

His other notable films include ‘Ramji Rao Speaking,’ ‘Vadakku Nokkiyanthram,’ ‘Thalayanamanthram,’ ‘Sandesham’ and ‘His Highness Abdulla.’ Mamukkoya will always be remembered for his natural acting and contribution to the Malayalam film industry.
