Due to the graphic nature of the autopsy photos, it was requested that the courtroom cameras refrain from showing them.

Similarly, Kinsey reported that the troublesome son of the Murdaughs was likewise discovered face down and shot twice, but not with the same firearm that killed his mother.

Before the second round in the neck and shoulder blasted out his brain and instantly killed him, he was initially hit in the chest “from many feet away,” leaving him standing and moving toward a door.

Those murders are allegedly the fault of Alex. Alex left his law practice in September 2021 after being charged with embezzlement there.

He was disbarred by the state of South Carolina and has been imprisoned since October 2021 while awaiting trial. In January 2023, Alex Murdaugh’s murder trial got underway.

Prosecutors have mainly relied on circumstantial evidence and a video that disproves Murdaugh’s alibi because there are no murder weapons or DNA evidence that explicitly links the disgraced former attorney to the June 7, 2021 killing.

Similarly, at the double murder trial of Alex, Maggie Murdaugh’s sister testified as a state witness on Tuesday afternoon. She described the night her sister and nephew were both killed.

This was the first communication from Maggie’s family to the jury. Maggie’s only sister, Marian Proctor, began stirring evidence by telling the jury about her.

She described her sister as being somewhat of a free spirit and friendly. Buster and Paul, Maggie’s sons, were “her whole world,” according to Proctor.

Proctor shed a tear as she recalled her sister’s last words to her on the day she was killed.

Around four o’clock that day, she claims Maggie called her and said Alex had asked her to travel to Moselle to see his ailing Father.
