Lisa met Kris at the gym, and in 2004, he told The Irish Independent,
We met at the gymnasium and we were looking at each other and I borrowed a piece of equipment off her.
She studied law when their love story began unexpectedly in 1982, and they married at Pepperdine University Chapel on February 18, 1983.
The married couple raised their five children, Jesse, Jody, Johnny, Blake, and Kelly Marie Kristofferson.
Likewise, she became a stepmom to Kris’s three children, Tracy, Kris, and Casey, from his previous marriages.
Their children have ventured into music, professional wrestling, and other pursuits.
They owned a house in Malibu, California, but lived peacefully, away from the public eye, on the island of Maui since 1990.
