Prevention is what we should be teaching. If I’d even had an inkling of how to protect myself… I didn’t know any of that stuff.
Jones credits Planned Parenthood with educating her on birth control, saying, “Planned Parenthood saved my life.”
I still give money to them to this day. When I went to Planned Parenthood, I finally learned how to prevent pregnancies and take care of myself.
While guest hosting “The Daily Show,” she also praised the organization, saying:
You would not know how much they saved my life. So much that I have them in my trust. That’s how much I believe that that service needs to be one of the most important things.

In an excerpt obtained on “Page Six”, the comedian reflected on a contentious on-and-off relationship through which she became pregnant at 18.
My mom got sick early in my life and she wasn’t there to teach me about [sex education], i didn’t know any of that stuff.
The stand-up comedian openly admitted the mistakes she used to commit, including not practicing birth control and not knowing how serious abortion is.
By her mid-20s, I had undergone three abortions when I came to the realisation that abortion “is not a birth control method”.
She further disclosed and recalled racing home after watching a childbirth video in her ninth-grade health class and telling her mother.
I remember running all the way home and I looked right at my mom and said: ‘I will never do that!
Also, she shared her opinion of wanting to take care of her body and weight saying:
I didn’t get married and have kids, but I don’t know if that’s what I wanted. I’ve always wanted to take care of myself.
