Janet Guthrie Murder has been trending on social media as she was found dead at her home while officers conducted a welfare check.
A suspected murder victim had only recently moved to her new home and had attended a spiritual cleansing’ the night before her body was discovered.

Janet Guthrie, 51, was discovered dead in a ‘controversial scene.’ On January 6, she relocated to Bribie Island. Officers were called to the very confronting’ scene on Wednesday night for a welfare check after neighbors reported hearing a disturbance at home around 11 pm.

Janet Guthrie, 51, of Bongaree, was discovered dead at her home just before 9 pm last Thursday while officers were conducting a welfare check.
When they arrived, they discovered Janet Guthrie’s body inside the House. The beloved mother had attended a “spiritual cleansing” the night before her suspected murder, it has been revealed. Her body was discovered on Thursday around 3 pm.

Plainclothes detectives and forensic officers continued their investigation of the cordoned-off crime scene. The road was lined with Police cars. Two cars and a caravan were taped off in the driveway while neighbors heard helicopter sounds.
According to a Police detective, there were reports of a disturbance at Ms. Guthrie’s home on Wednesday night.
Detective Inspector Ben Fadian asked the public for CCTV or dashcam footage of the truck utility’s movements on Wednesday, February 15, the day before Ms. Guthrie’s body was discovered.
Detective Inspector Fadian stated that the vehicle has the Queensland registration number 170ZBA.
He confirmed that Police had spoken with the vehicle’s owner, a 47-year-old male, in connection with the death but would not reveal any further details about the investigation.
“We know who owns that vehicle; we’ve spoken with that person, and they’ve provided us with information,” he said. The vehicle was spotted in Bongaree around 5 pm on February 15 and later in Bribie Island at the Aldi store.

Janet Guthrie was a 51-year-old Queensland woman. She was the victim of a murder on Bribie Island on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She used to live on the Gold Coast, but on January 6, 2023, she relocated to Bribie Island.
Guthrie’s new address is Melia Street in Bongaree, Queensland, north of Brisbane. She frequently shared photos of her new coastal home and enjoyed spending time at the beach. She was also a big fan of dogs.
Tiahni Guthrie, Ms. Guthrie’s daughter, paid tribute to her mother on social media. “Always and forever, my number one, I adore you, Mumma, “She stated. Ms. Guthrie’s two daughters have set up a fundraising page.
Janet Guthrie’s death is being investigated as a homicide by Queensland Police. However, no suspects in the mysterious death have been identified. The Police are currently conducting an urgent investigation into the lady’s movements.
“At this time, we are conducting investigations as if it were a homicide, and we do not have any confirmed suspects,” Detective Inspector Ben Fadian said in a statement.
“According to our information, the deceased lady was the only person living in the House at the time.
