Harry Kraft and Sarah Bryna Kraft welcomed Robert Kraft into the world in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

When Kraft enrolled at Columbia University on a grant, he was the class president. He participated in the school’s rookie and light football teams as a defender and tennis player.

In 1972, he founded International Forest Products, a trader of authentic paper goods.

The two firms together make up the biggest privately owned paper and packaging businesses in the United States.

Kraft founded the organization on the theory that the growth in international communications and transit would prompt the development of global trade in the late 20th century.

A year after the freshly permitted station, WNEV-TV, agreed to take over for the defunct WNAC-TV, Kraft joined the board of directors.

Kraft was a shareholder in New England Television Corp., which in 1982 took over management of the Boston station 7 franchise.
