Welch died Wednesday morning in Los Angeles following a “brief illness,” according to the statement.

“After a brief illness, the legendary Actress of film, television, and stage passed away peacefully early this morning,” Welch’s representative Steve Sauer said in a statement to People.

“Raquel leaves behind her two children, Damon Welch, her son, and Tahnee Welch, her daughter,” he added.

Tahnee and Damon Welch, Welch’s two adult children, survive her. Tahnee is 61 years old and has worked as an Actress and model, while Damon is also 63 and has worked as an Actor.

The Actress, who has over 70 film and television credits, began her career as a spokesmodel on a variety show called In 1964, she appeared in the Elvis Presley movie “Roustabout” and the television show “Hollywood Palace.”
