In a 2019 interview with Jenkem Magazine, Bam Margera shared details about his mental health challenges, specifically his battle with bipolar disorder, which he has been candid about.

Margera revealed that he was diagnosed with the condition during his mid-20s and has since been on medication to manage his symptoms.

Also, Margera took to Instagram to share a video in 2019 with the caption, “A plan where everyone is happy in the end.”

In the footage, he disclosed that he had discovered that he is manic bipolar. He went on to explain that the uncertainty around whether or not “Jackass” was going to be made had driven him to “go bonkers.”

However, this episode allowed him to confront his condition and understand what he truly wanted. Margera shared that he had plans for a fantastic project that would benefit everyone involved without ill feelings.

Bam added that he would consult a bipolar specialist to receive professional advice on managing his condition. Finally, he expressed his eagerness to proceed with filming the project and involve everyone.

In addition to his struggles with bipolar disorder, Margera has also been vocal about his addiction issues.

Margera has acknowledged that his bipolar disorder contributed to his addictive behavior, citing mood swings and impulsive tendencies as critical factors that made him more vulnerable to substance abuse.

Bam Margera Was Arrested For Public Intoxication 

Bam Margera reportedly caused a commotion at a Thai restaurant in Burbank, California, where his estranged wife, Nicole, and their Phoenix, were having a meal.

TMZ reported that Margera yelled at a woman, prompting someone to call the Police around 3:45 pm on Wednesday.

Despite efforts to calm the situation, Margera, who appeared to be under the influence, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor public intoxication.

A video taken by comedian Evan Breen during the incident and posted on Instagram Live shows Margera visibly upset, storming in and out of the restaurant.

Not only that, on February 15, 2023, Bam Margera’s wife, Nikki, filed for legal separation and requested spousal support due to irreconcilable differences.

Legal documents revealed that Boyd is seeking physical and legal custody of their son, with Margera granted parental visitation within Los Angeles County.

The documents further stated that Boyd filed for separation after witnessing Margera’s inappropriate behavior towards their son, which she believed resulted from his substance abuse.

On March 2, 2023, Margera was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly kicking a woman. He was released the following day after posting a $50,000 bail.
