Harry Garside In The Pro Box Scene
Earlier this year, Harry Garside, the Olympic boxing medalist, caused some surprise when he parted ways with the iconic trainer Johnny Lewis due to a disagreement over whether or not Garside should participate in the reality TV program.
Lewis suggested that Garside should participate in a fight instead of participating in the reality TV program. Still, Garside decided to stick with his commitment to ‘I’m A Celeb,’ where he eventually emerged as the runner-up to Liz Ellis.
Garside was still an amateur when he won the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games gold medal. Subsequently, he secured a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
After transitioning to the professional boxing circuit, Garside emerged victorious in his initial three fights. However, he claimed on ‘I’m A Celeb’ that his team pushed him to turn pro only for financial gain.
As per the Daily Telegraph, Garside’s ex-manager Peter Mitrevski Jr is reportedly contemplating taking legal recourse against the boxer over his remarks, citing claims of breach of contract and defamation.
Network Ten and Garside are reportedly facing legal action from his former manager, Peter Mitrevski Jr., for alleged defamation and breach of contract.
According to reports, Mitrevski alleges that Garside breached his management contract and a deal with the ‘No Limit Boxing’ promotion Company.
His decision to appear on “I’m A Celeb” led to a split with his legendary trainer Johnny Lewis, who was disappointed with Garside’s lack of commitment to boxing.
