Hage Geingob Children are presently grieving his passing, as he passed away at a hospital in Windhoek on February 4, 2024.

Hage Geingob was a prominent Namibian politician.

Serving as Namibia’s third president from March 21, 2015, until his demise, he held the position of the country’s first and second Prime Minister from 1990 to 2002 and 2012 to 2015, respectively.

Geingob, a member of the South West Africa People’s Organisation (SWAPO), played a crucial role in Namibia’s fight for independence.

Similarly, during his initial term as Prime Minister, Geingob played a pivotal role in establishing Namibia’s democratic institutions and infrastructure.

He also contributed to negotiating a peace agreement with the Angolan government, a supporter of Namibia’s independence movement.

In March 2023, Geingob designated Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah as the Swapo Party’s nominee for the upcoming presidential election in the following year.

By January 2024, Geingob expressed his endorsement for South Africa’s ICJ genocide case against Israel. But, sadly, he passed away on February 4, 2024.

Dângos, Nangula, and Hage Geingob Jr are the children of Hage Geingob.

Nangula Geingos-Dukes is the daughter of Hage Geingob’s first marriage to Priscilla “Patty” Geingos. Additionally, he has a daughter and a son from his second marriage to Loini Kandume.

In 1967, Hage Geingob entered matrimony with Priscilla Charlene Cash, a native of New York City.

Later, Geingob tied the knot with Loini Kandume, a businesswoman, on September 11, 1993, in Windhoek. 

However, the marital journey faced a turning point when Geingob initiated divorce proceedings against Kandume in May 2006, eventually obtaining a provisional divorce order in July 2008.

On February 14, 2015, Hage Geingob entered into another marriage, this time with Monica Kalondo.

Monica held the position of First Lady of Namibia from 2015 until her husband’s demise in 2024.

Throughout her career, she has played crucial roles as a board member and director in several prominent companies within the country.

Additionally, Monica Geingos has chaired the Presidential Economic Advisory Council, showcasing her active involvement in economic matters and policy advising at the highest levels of government.

Notably, he is honored through the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium and the University of Namibia’s Medical School Campus in Windhoek, both named in recognition of his contributions.
