Freddie Flintoff Facial Injuries have been trending on social media as he recently had an accident while filming at Surrey’s Dunsfold Aerodrome.

Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff MBE is a former international cricketer and television and radio presenter from England. Flintoff was one of the sport’s best all-rounders, a fast bowler, a middle-order batsman, and a slip fielder who participated in all facets of the game.

Following his debut in 1998, he became an integral player for England and was England’s “Man of the Series” in the 2005 Ashes. He later served as both captain and vice-captain of the team.

Former cricketer and Top Gear presenter Freddie Flintoff was involved in a severe accident during filming at Surrey’s Dunsfold Aerodrome on February 5, 2023. Flintoff was filming with a crew member in an open-top car when the car flipped, resulting in facial injuries and a broken rib.

A source said: ‘The injuries were more severe as the car didn’t have a roof. It was a freak accident, and the car flipped over, dragging the two men along.

The duo was wearing helmets – potentially saving their lives – but the source claimed everyone on set was rattled by the crash.

‘No date has yet been established for the airing of Top Gear Series 34,’ a spokeswoman informed Metro.co.uk. Shooting has been halted till the investigation into Freddie’s accident is completed.

“A decision will be made on when to restart production after the investigation is complete,” the statement read.

Flintoff was airlifted to the hospital immediately after the accident, and his injuries were described as severe but not life-threatening. He underwent surgery to repair his facial injuries and was stable following the operation. 

Flintoff’s recovery process has not been made public, and it is unknown how long he will recover from his injuries fully.

He debuted in 1998 before joining the England squad, where he was named Man of the Series during the 2005 Ashes before rising through the ranks to become vice-captain and captain.

Freddie Flintoff joined the BBC Two show Top Gear alongside Paddy McGuinness in 2019, replacing Matt LeBlanc, who left after only five months.

On Tuesday, the incident occurred at Top Gear’s test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and a BBC spokesperson said more information would be released “in due course.”
