Foster Loyer is the 23-year-old senior point guard on the Davidson men’s basketball team in the 2022–23 season.
He played high school basketball at Michigan State for three years before thriving at Davidson for the last two years. Last season, the 6-0 guard averaged 16.1 points while shooting 43.8% 3-point.
The native of Clarkson, Michigan, was a driving force on Davidson’s NCAA tournament squad in 2021, and in some ways, he’s improved.
He is now shooting 41.9% from 3-point range and 88.1% from the foul line while averaging 5.6 assists and 21 points per game.

Loyer concluded his high school career with 2,163 points (1,360 at Homestead and 803 at Clarkston High School in Michigan).

Likewise, Fletcher recorded 272 rebounds, 212 assists, and 113 steals in just 53 games during his final two seasons at Homestead.
After his senior year, he took first place in the High School 3-point Championship in New Orleans.
He rejected offers from Nebraska, Michigan, Notre Dame, Utah, and Missouri in favour of Purdue.
More than 30 players, including the first two picks overall in the NBA draft, have gone to the NBA from Purdue.
Furthermore, Loyer got the 2022 Indiana Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year.
