In federal court in Central Islip earlier today, United States District Judge Joanna Seybert sentenced William Junior Maxwell II, aka “Fetty Wap,” to six conspiracy to distribute cocaine will result in years in jail and five years of post-release supervision.
Judge Seybert sentenced Maxwell’s co-defendant Anthony Cyntje, a New Jersey jail officer, to 72 months in prison for his involvement in the drug trafficking conspiracy on March 7, 2023. Maxwell’s four remaining co-defendants pled guilty and await punishment.
According to court documents, the defendants distributed over 100 kilos during June 2019 and June 2020, on Long Island and in New Jersey, of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine.
The defendants purchased the drugs on the west coast and transported them across the nation to Suffolk County, where they were kept, using the U.S. Postal Service and drivers with secret car compartments.
The narcotics were subsequently delivered to traffickers on Long Island and New Jersey, who sold them. Five accused also used weapons to safeguard their drug distribution network and organization.
