Dr. Gopalakrishnan was a noted scholar and author who delivered thousands of lectures on Indian heritage and thought in India and more than fifty foreign countries.
He held a Master’s in Pharmacology Chemistry and Applied Chemistry and a Ph.D. and D.L. in Sanskrit.
He authored over 100 books, including the well-known works Bharatiya Vicharadhara and Bharatiya Ishwarasankalpam, showcasing his profound knowledge of scientific subjects.
Moreover, the late scientist was recognized for his knowledge of Vedopanishads and Puranas.

The scientist passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 68, after collapsing while walking at home.
His funeral rituals were held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at the Tulu Brahmin Samaj crematorium in Tripunithura.
Gopalakrishnan had served as a design engineer at TATA Consulting Engineers, Bengaluru and later joined as a scientist in the Structural Dynamics and Machine Foundation division of CSIR-SERC.
In 2003, he entered the Earthquake Engineering division of CSIR-SERC, also called the ASTaR lab.
The scientist co-authored 61 national and international journal articles and filed for five Indian patents.
Gopalakrishnan was a scientist at the Advanced Seismic Testing and Research Laboratory (ASTaR) of CSIR- SERC and assumed charge as director at CSIR- Central Building Research Institute (CBRI).
