Constable Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold were fatally murdered while performing their official duties at Wieambilla on the Western Downs.
Matthew Arnold, 26, and Rachel McCrow, 29, both rookie constables, were attacked and killed on a property in Wieambilla, west of Brisbane, on December 12, 2022.
Queensland Police constables Matthew Arnold and Rachel McCrow received bravery medals during a touching ceremony honoring the pair who was shot and died while performing their official duties.
A memorial service for the young cops was held on Wednesday at the Brisbane Entertainment Center, attended by hundreds of Police officers, thousands of public members, and political officials.

Constable Rachel McCrow And Matthew Arnold- Two Police Officers Died In Wieambilla shooting
Constables Rachel McCrow and Matthew Arnold tragically died while performing their duties on December 12, 2022.
At the age of 29, Constable McCrow went away. After sworn in in June 2021, she has spent one year and six months working for the Queensland Police Force.
Similarly, at the age of 26, Constable Arnold passed away. After being sworn in in March 2020, he spent two years and nine months working for the Queensland Police Force.
Both constables were shot and killed while searching for the missing man Nathaniel Train on a rural farm.
In a secluded Queensland farm, six people, two of them Police officers, died in an ambush that has been dubbed “ruthless” and “cold-blooded.”
Additionally, a former school principal, his brother, and his sister-in-law are accused of killing the officers and a neighbor on Monday night.
They were eventually shot dead in a confrontation with heavily equipped tactical Police.
The horrible tragedy, according to Queensland Police commissioner Katarina Carroll, devastated both the families of the victims and the entire Police force.
The initial shooting’s motivation is still a mystery. Police, according to Deputy Commissioner Linford, don’t think any other locals were engaged in the attack’s planning.
She stated, “At this point, there is simply no evidence that anyone else in Australia participated or helped with this act.

At the funeral service for Constables Matthew Arnold and Rachel McCrow, thousands of people attended, including Annastacia Palaszczuk, who delivered a message of sympathy from the premier.

As part of the hunt for missing New South Wales man Nathaniel Train, 46, from Dubbo, Police were dispatched to a rural property on Wain Road in Wieambilla, around 300 kilometers west of Brisbane.
Both constables scaled a fence to get to the residence on the property. As they moved up the driveway, they came under Fire.
On the other hand, Senior Police sources have named Train, his brother Gareth Train, and Gareth’s wife Stacey as the alleged murderers. They allegedly set up the ambush and shot the officers dead as they approached the property.
