She graduated with a doctorate at Columbus, Ohio’s The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
She finished her internship at Columbus, Ohio’s OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.
After completing her dermatology residency at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Kendrick attended the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio, for a dermatopathology fellowship from 2008 to 2009.

After their marriage, the Kendricks bought the house of the late JoAnn Langdon and are currently renovating it with new wiring, HVAC, and roofing.
The home was constructed in 1875, and much of it will be kept to preserve its history.
Their goal is to move to Washington Court House and become active members of the Fayette County community.
Mary Jo Kendrick claims that they bought the Victorian home and moved because of their passion for Washington Court House and the maxim “location, location, location.”
Mary Jo’s relatives reside here, and they desired to be nearer to them.
Mary Jo and her sister, Sarah Jacobson, were born here. They had relatives, an aunt, and an uncle in Fayette County.
