Well-respected pastor and inspirational author TD Jakes faces major personal and career threats in the wake of recent s*xual misconduct allegations filed by pastor Duane Youngblood. 

Youngblood came forward on the “Larry Reid Live” podcast in October 2024, alleging that the pastor attempted to groom him when he was 18 or 19 years old.

 

According to the accuser, this incident involved a hug by Jakes, which allegedly led to an attempt to kiss him. 

Moreover, Youngblood’s lawyers reportedly wanted $6 million to keep the situation private. 

Instead, the author filed a defamation lawsuit in Pennsylvania federal court, claiming the accusations were false and part of a plot to destroy his reputation and extort money. 

Things got even more complicated when it was discovered that Youngblood was a registered s*X offender who pleaded guilty to s*xually assaulting teenage boys. 

Stress may have contributed to this scandal, as Jakes suffered from a recent medical emergency. On November 24, 2024, he collapsed while ministering in church for more than an hour.

While doctors ruled out a stroke, he was still under medical supervision since he continued to undergo a series of tests.
