Bill O’Reilly was born William James O’ Reilly Jr. on September 10, 1949, in the New York City at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. His father’s and mother’s names are William James and Winifred Angela Drake O’ Reily respectively. He completed his bachelor’s from the Marist college and started working within the WNEP Television in the position of anchoring. In 1973, he enrolled at Boston University for a master of arts degree in broadcast journalism.
Bill O’Reilly married Maureen E. McPhilmy on November 2, 1996. They have two children. Madeline O’Reilly is the eldest daughter while Spencer O’Reilly is the youngest son. His wife, Maureen’s job is a public relations executive.
Since they are both busy in their careers and are not together many times, this had a bad effect on their personal lives. As a result, the couple got separated in 2010 and divorced in 2011. Maureen took custody of the children.

Although O’Reilly became a celebrity figure, several sexual harassment lawsuits filed against him led to damage to his reputation. In 2004, Andrea Mackris filed a lawsuit against him claiming he made several sexually explicit phone calls to her. He agreed to pay fine but denied all the accusations.
Again, in 2017, The New York Times published that four other women had filed a lawsuit against him. O’Reilly had reached settlements with all of them. Some accused him of sexual harassment and some of the inappropriate behavior, unwanted advances and lewd comments and phone calls. Those women either worked for him or had appeared on his program.
