Frankel, however, used to have a severe fish allergy and was admitted to the hospital in December 2018 after swallowing fish-based soup.

During the previous season of The Real Housewives of New York City, she spoke openly about her mother’s battle with an eating disorder.

But long before Bethenny found success in food, her family had a complicated relationship with it while she was growing up.

Her mother was a stunning woman who wanted to be a model. There were always fabrications available, and her mother was always in the Tab and the split generation.

Even as a child of just eight years old, Bethenny visited an obesity clinic. Growing up, she got treated for eating disorders, so she hesitated to speak about it.

The founder of Skinnygirl stated that she was probably 20 lbs lighter in her 30s and that she was continuously on a diet, who also said she no longer supported the concept of exercising to burn calories.

The reality personality made it clear that while she eats what she convinces, she never binges and does not “do weights.” She describes on Instagram how, through age, she learned to love her figure.

She responded to remarks about her appearance in a Twitter post earlier in the year. Bethenny also talked about how reality TV gave her a constructive expression and how it ultimately set the stage for her other later successes.

Frankel’s diet prioritizes vegetables heavily while also include some whole grains and lean protein. She advises consuming whole grains, organic veggies grown nearby, chicken, and beef while avoiding processed and packaged foods.

Bethenny Frankel was born in New York City, United States, on November 4, 1970. As of 2024, she is 53 years old.

Frankel is the only child of interior designer Bernadette Birk and horse trainer Robert J. Frankel. Her mother was a Welsh Roman Catholic, while her Father was German-Jewish.

Bethenny admits she had a challenging childhood. Frankel said her mother “was always drinking” and frequently got into physical altercations with her stepfather.

From 1996 to 1997, Frankel married Peter Sussman, an entertainment industry member. Her marriage with pharmaceutical salesman Jason Hoppy took place in March 2010. She has one daughter named Bryn.

In January 2013, Frankel filed for divorce after the couple’s separation in December 2012. A custody order got finalized in June 2014, and a financial settlement was in July 2016.
