The news of Kellen Moore fired by the Dallas Cowboys has been wild on the internet, as the information was instant, and nobody knew about it.
Coach of American football Kellen Christopher Moore is the offensive coordinator for the National Football League’s Los Angeles Chargers (NFL).
He previously spent six NFL seasons with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys.
At Boise State, where Moore played collegiate football, he established the FBS record for most quarterback victories.
He was an undrafted free agent signed by Detroit in 2012 and spent three seasons with the Lions and Cowboys.
Following his retirement, the former athlete returned to Dallas as a coach and worked as the team’s offensive coordinator from 2019 to the 2022 NFL season.
Moore joined the Chargers’ coaching staff in 2023 as their offensive coordinator after leaving the Cowboys.
Despite not being chosen in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions signed him immediately.
Moore said, “I don’t think there will possibly be a more driven quarterback,” after being signed by Detroit.
Although some media members felt that Moore should replace the recently signed Dan Orlovsky as the Lions’ primary backup during the 2014 season, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell determined Orlovsky would stay in the position.

Why Was Kellen Moore Fired By The Cowboys?
Moore spent eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, but they could not sign him.
America’s Team discreetly fired offensive coordinator Kellen Moore on Sunday, breaking the news during the 28th consecutive weekend of conference championship game activity.
This was one of the most brazen news dumps in recent football history.
Moore has been appointed as the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, as had been rumored immediately after he and the Cowboys “parted ways” on Sunday night and Monday morning.
Joe Lombardi, who was let go shortly after Los Angeles’ AFC Wild Card loss to Jacksonville on January 14, is replaced by the former Boise State quarterback.
Moore and former Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan were reunited when the Dallas Cowboys signed Moore to the team’s practice squad on September 6, 2015.
On September 23, Tony Romo was added to the active roster to fill in for Brandon Weeden after initially breaking his left collarbone.
Before the Cowboys acquired quarterback Matt Cassel, Kellen served as the team’s backup for two games.
He was released on November 10 and re-signed to the practice squad two days later.

Kellen Moore Hired By L.A. Chargers – Contract Details
The organization revealed on Monday that Kellen Moore has signed a contract to become the Los Angeles Chargers’ next offensive coordinator.
Following an end-of-season assessment process, Moore and the Dallas Cowboys made a “mutual choice to part ways,” according to a statement posted less than 24 hours before the move.
Moore will take over as the offensive coordinator in Los Angeles in place of Joe Lombardi, who was sacked following the team’s 10-7 record and historic collapse against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round.
Moore, 33, will take over an offense commanded by Justin Herbert, the NFL’s all-time Leader in passing yards through his first three seasons, surpassing Andrew Luck last year.
Additionally, Moore receives the receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams and the running back Austin Ekeler, who led the NFL with 18 touchdowns the previous season.
According to ESPN Stats & Information research, Moore switches from tutoring Dak Prescott, who led the league in interception rate this season (3.8%), to Herbert, who had the seventh-lowest interception rate (1.4%) in the NFL.
At the commencement of the hunt for a new offensive coordinator, Coach Brandon Staley stated that he would be looking for leadership and a system similar to those used by Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams and Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers.
