WSSU student Moriah Lewis’ heartbreaking passing by suicide has left her family, friends, and community in deep sorrow, grappling with an unimaginable loss.
She was pursuing her graduate degree in Master’s of Applied Behaviour Analysis from Ball State University and pursued her undergraduate training in psychology from Winston-Salem State University.

Her d*ath has caused an uproar on social media, as an innumerable number of friends, family, and people of the community have shown their disbelief and condensed words of condolence.
Many went to platforms such as X and posted messages of love remembering her and called for awareness regarding mental health.

Jeffrey QB’s Lewis is a popular barber and businessman in Delaware who is now in grief over the passing of his daughter, Moriah Lewis.

Last night my baby girl passed away due to taking her own life (Suicide)… I probably will never understand or will never know the why… but she had to know she was loved by a mighty large village…. God we gonna need you big time on this one…. Lots of prayers is needed…. Love you lil girl
Her father is one of the owners of the QB’s barbershop and salon, is very religious, and is a family man.
Furthermore, on the day when he lost his precious person, he shared a heartfelt message on his social media, saying:
God please cover us…. we lost our daughter Moriah Lewis tonight.. she is gonna be missed by so many…we love you so much…. Emotions are all over the place tonight
