Justin Bingham Passed Away Due To An Accident During Canyoneering In Zion National Park

Justin Bingham, forty years old, was an adventurous person. He often spent his free days and weekends mountaineering, skiing, and Canyoneering.

However, the weekend of October 5, 2024, was not on the entrepreneur’s side. 

On Saturday, Justin and three other Canyonners were rappelling on the Heaps Canyon of Zion National Park.

Park officials reported receiving a call around 6 p.m. reporting that a 40-year-old man had fallen about 200 feet near the exit of Heaps Canyon.

Right after the emergency call, Zion’s search-and-rescue team and deputies provided emergency care. Justin was hoisted to a helicopter landing area.

However, Bingham had already lost his life because of the fatal injuries before being placed on board.

Furthermore, on October 6, 2024, the other three canyoners with Bingham were rescued and taken to the hospital a day later. 

The Utah entrepreneur lost his life in an accident while he was enjoying his weekends with friends doing what he liked the most.

National Park Committee And Opiniion Company Writes In Justin Bingham Remembrance

Upon the sudden demise of 40 years old Justin Bingham, his company Opiniion writes,

At Opiniion, Justin was more than just our CEO. He was a friend, a mentor, an example of hard work, and above all, he was family.

On the official page of the startup, it states,

Doing what he loved this weekend, Justin Bingham, our CEO, was involved in a canyoneering incident that, despite the quick responses of various emergency teams, resulted in his untimely passing.

Furthermore, Zion National Park released a press release about the incident. On the announcement, it writes,

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family and friends during this unimaginably difficult time.

Justin Bingham was the father of four children: Turin, Ashton, Landon, and Ava, and a fantastic husband to Lindsay Bingham. His family is mourning the loss of a fantastic father and husband.
