Steve Keeley, a reporter for Fox 29 Philadelphia, recently reported that the officer was hit by two of the four shots.
On Wednesday, around 6:45 p.m. after a traffic stop led to a police-involved shooting on the 1500 block of West Somerville Avenue. A Philadelphia Police was wounded by a shot in the city’s Logan section.
Outlaw reported that three people were involved in the shooting, and the suspects have already been taken into custody.

Philadelphia Police Officer Was shot Today: What Happened?
Initially, the first two officers who stopped the vehicle learned the names of the four occupants inside. And when the two returned to obtain outstanding warrants, the police called for backup.
According to police, the passenger began shooting at officers from inside the vehicle.
The man then got out of the vehicle and fired another shot at officers, investigators said.
Afterward, the police fired their weapons and hit the man several times. The Philadelphia Police Sergeant Eric Gripp said there were five officers at that point.
Those who were outside the vehicles shot the man multiple times in the torso.
Investigators said the officer and his partner surrounded a vehicle with three inside near the intersection of 60th and Market streets around 3:30 pm.
During the traffic stop, investigators say a fight broke out between the officer and the passenger, during which the officer was shot twice.
Shortly after the shooting, Deputy Commissioner Stanford said one of the bullets exited the officer’s body, and doctors were working to determine there were no serious internal injuries.
The Fraternal Order of Police said Wednesday night that the 32-year-old officer underwent surgery and was listed in stable condition.
He said he is relieved that the officer is alive; however, the situation still infuriates him.
Furthermore, FOX 29’s Steve Keeley reported that the third suspect had also been taken into custody. Sources told that at the time of the suspect’s arrest, he had a gun on him.
Mayor Jim Kenney said it was a hazardous and difficult job, and people involved in the situation were very brave.
Similarly, he wishes for the soon recovery of the wounded and injured officer.
However, the name and any personal details of the suspects and the officer haven’t been unveiled. Similarly, there is no report of any charges.
