The Kapadia household was an amalgamation of various personalities – Simple’s elder sister Dimple Kapadia, a renowned actress; younger sister Reem Kapadia who unfortunately succumbed to drug overuse; and Suhail (Munna) Kapadia.
Simple also enjoyed being an aunt to Twinkle Khanna and Rinke Khanna, daughters of Dimple and Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna. 2006 the Kapadia family was dealt a severe blow when Simple was diagnosed with Cancer.
Even in the face of adversity, Simple showed tremendous resilience, continuing to work and live life to the fullest despite the debilitating effects of the disease. Her family was her rock, offering support and strength during this challenging period.
Unfortunately, Simple Kapadia passed away on 10th November 2009 after a three-year battle with cancer at a hospital in Andheri, Mumbai. She was 51 years old at the time of her death.
