Despite her flaws, Sasha’s family maintains that she was a bright, charming young woman who wanted to change but was ultimately let down by a variety of problems with the way she was treated.

The family is also concerned that no one was available to pick up Sasha from the mental health facility where she was having treatment when Police managed to find her when she ran away on the day she died. Due to a lack of manpower, this happened.
The parents of Sasha, Steven, and Angela from Fleet, Hampshire, claim that there was no organized plan for Sasha’s care.
Sasha has had OCD since she was a small child. By the time she was 13, she had grown to believe that she was “evil” and that harm would come to her and her family if her complex rituals were not performed.
Sasha’s family insists that despite her issues, she was a bright, lovely young woman who wanted to improve but was eventually let down by many problems with her treatment.
The improvements are too late for Sasha’s family to benefit. In a statement to the inquest jury that was not read, the family stated:
“By the time of her death, Sasha felt she was struggling alone, without sufficient support from the organizations that were supposed to support, treat and protect her.”

They are also perplexed as to why she has turned away from the hospital on the day she took a fatal overdose due to uncertainty regarding her care, even though this was an essential component of her care plan.
How did Sasha Forster Die?
On January 10, 2017, Sasha nearly passed dead from an overdose. It required 35 minutes to revive her. She was detained under the Mental Health Act.
“We agreed with the decision to section Sasha, even though the family did have concerns about the hospital staff’s ability to keep her safe,” Sasha’s Father said.
She was admitted to Guildford, England’s Farnham Road Hospital, a specialized mental health center run by the Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS foundation trust. Her rituals made it challenging for the staff to encourage her to eat or drink.
According to them, they had to choose between using restraints, forcing her to eat, and allowing her to leave the facility for a short period of time in compliance with Section 17 of the Mental Health Act.
